If you want to break a man's ego, just make him learn snowboard. You will see him fall in the most unglamorous ways, crawl in the most pathetic manner, it's like their hands and legs does not belong to them. The falls are so bad, i sometimes see stars, sometimes i hear my neck crack in the most gruesome way, sometimes i feel like my guts are coming out from everywhere! Most of the time, i get up, pat my chest and thank god I'm still alive.
Like what my SIL @kellyandher_t said, "Snowboarding is a true test of character." I can't agree more. To not fall at all in a 1 min video, requires at least 1000 pathetic falls before that.
But it is the determination, belief, mental strength and optimism that keeps you going at torturing yourself. Haha!
It is my third season. And on most days, it feels like 1 step forward and 3 steps back. Some days are more physically and emotionally draining than others. But I will not give up. I will not submit. One day, I'll be able to go into the woods and hike up 40 mins to the top and snowboard down with my husband. @deon.woo wait for me!
