13 years since we walked down the aisle into happily ever after.
Our wedding was themed "A Fairytale Love", you were the Prince, I was the Princess and we were gonna have a happy family with lots of happiness and happy kids and happy every day. Well, we even wrote a song titled "我们的童话" and sang it at our second march in.
Yup, I was, and probably still am, a hopeless romantic and liked to dream of all things beautiful and maybe even a tad surreal. After having four kids and going through more than a dozen years of marriage, it's safe to conclude that some days will be tougher than the rest. The ups and downs will always be there, so will the tears and laughter.
Happily ever after doesn't mean we will never argue or disagree but it means we learn to respect each other's opinions. It doesn't mean we bring down but instead lift each other and be the strongest pillar of all. It doesn't mean we give up easily or stop seeing the good in each other because like what you said "We chose each other for a reason. A reason we should never forget."
So yeah, thanks for being my other half and for seeing something good in me. We do have a happy family, happy kids and happy days and I am living my dream. Happy 13 years!

我家四宝 ❤
Remembering the precious moments my babies came into this world. It is one of the things that gives me motivation to push through a bad day in this parenting journey. Yup, some days are just tougher than the rest, isn't it? It makes my heart feel warm and fuzzy whenever I think about the times I first held each of my darlings. (Can you tell who's who?)
Some of my friends who know me from way back told me "I never imagined you will have four kids", "I would never guess that you will be a stay-home mum", "I didn't think you would be so motherly" and so on. 讲真的,我自己也没想过今天的我是四个孩子的妈妈。I guess dreams and aspirations change as you grow older and wiser, right?
Hoping to place more of their baby photos on this grid before they all become teenagers and adults. From what I have experienced, I blink and the years fly past and to be honest, I still want to savour every moment of their growing up. Cherishing each day that I get to be your mum. ❤

It's not a fancy photo, but it's one that is worth commemorating!
Today, 25th Oct, is the day i stepped out of my house for the first time after i delivered.
I finally breathe the air outside of my house after 33 days! (Hospital runs DOESN'T COUNT! LOL) Albeit it being a short 1hour breakfast meet with my gfs nearby was all it was, it was still a much needed break! I felt that that was all i needed for now to gain some back sanity.
It's my decision to choose the journey of exclusive latching for my breastfeeding journey. That also means baby is stuck to me all day. On most days, Layla is like a magnet. When i put her down, she'd cry or wake up very quickly from her nap. Somedays are tougher than others, on those days, i question if my decision is a right one. If i had bottle fed, I'll have a lot more freedom and definitely get a lot more rest. But with every choice comes with its own set of pros and cons. And everyday i remind myself that this is my decision and it is what i choose. I know that i have the option of bottle feeding or formula feeding, and it's not like one is better than the other, but latching is my ultimate decision. So on days where it gets overwhelming, i remind myself that I CHOSE THIS.
There's something rather grounding when i remind myself that 'I CHOSE THIS'. This, can be anything from breastfeeding, to choice of partner, to choice of work, to basically anything. When you choose something, it means that you were given the free will to select other options, yet you decide on this and accept all the consequences and responsibilities that come with it. Psychology terms, it's called Choice Theory.
So whenever the going gets tough, i remind myself that 'I Chose This'. It has helped me through many difficult times in the past. Hopefully this little tip will also help you through yours!

This is a short and effective total body workout which you can do either first thing in the morning or before you end your day. It'll help to stretch your body, boost your metabolism and burn calories!
Exercises
1) Squats / Jump Squats
2) Shoulder Tap Push-Ups
3) Lunge & Twist
4) Burpees
5) Mountain Climbers
6) Leg Kickbacks
7) Leg Lifts
8) Plank In-Out
Sequence: 8 intervals (45secs Workout - 15secs Rest)
Total Time: 8 minutes (1 set)
You can repeat 3 - 4 to make it a full solid workout. Rest 1 minute in between set to keep your heart rate constantly elevated.
To progress:
- Perform 3-4 sets.
- Lift some weights to make the exercises tougher or add jumps.
- Choose the advance version.

This workout sequence combines both strength training + cardio, which is the most effective way to burn fat on your arms and lean up at the same time. Do this regularly to achieve results in 4 - 6 weeks time!
Exercises
1) Wide to Narrow Push-up
Active Rest: Straight Punches
2) Spiderman Push-up
Active Rest: Hook Punches
3) Tricep Dips
Active Rest: Cross High Punches
4) Plank Up-Down
Active Rest: Arm Circles
Sequence: 8 Intervals (45secs each interval)
Total Time: 15 minutes (2 sets)
1 minute rest in between sets

Beginners, if you struggle to keep up, do take it easy during the "active rest" and get back into the workout once you're ready. Keep doing this workout and you'll only get stronger and progress week by week.
