這是什麼？！ 在澳洲看到「刺蝟」千萬不要以為是「刺蝟」啊😆 這個可是澳洲特有的針鼴（echidna），又被稱為「刺食蟻獸」🐜

牠們可是跟鴨嘴獸一樣都是世界上唯一兩種單孔目生物。代表是會產蛋的哺乳類動物🥚 而且也會把寶寶放入育兒袋中，跟袋鼠一樣😲🦘

澳洲許多特有動物都會有育兒袋，例如袋熊（wombat）還有已經絕種、又被稱為 Tasmanian Tiger 的袋狼（thylacine）🐅

希望大家下次來澳洲，不要像 Winny 來了好幾年還是一樣忍不住叫出「刺蝟」啊 😆 不過這個在國家公園的野生針鼴實在有夠可愛，大搖大擺的直接從我們倆旁經過😳 據說牠們還會游泳呢！🏊

Ps. 好奇，有誰原本就認識牠們？🙋

They are actually like platypus, both are the only egg-laying mammals living in modern world🥚 They also have pouches to bring up their young ones, just like kangaroos 🦘

Still finds it amazing how so many animals uniquely to Australia have pouches for raising babies 😆 Like wombats and Tasmanian Tigers (thylacine)🐅

So next time when you come to Australia, don't call them hedgehogs like I did 😛

Ps. These are just wild ones in national parks, totally unafraid of humans. Apparently they good swimmers too🏊

Do you know that babies learn 60% more than adults until they celebrate their first birthday 🎂 and they learn best while playing?

We have grown with Fisher-Price toys and now with Ellie she’s starting to enjoy playing and grabbing toys 🧸, and the Delux Piano Gym enables her to learn how to reach up to grab the adorable animals rattle as well as exercising her legs and toes to reach out to make sounds from the piano board. The bits and pieces of her learning coordination amazed me.

But when it’s time to wind down at night, I would use the Soothe & Grow Seahorse, all you need to do is to press on the tummy to release music and soothing white noise to calm her for bed. When she wakes, it also acts as her bed doll that she loves hugging it.

Both items actually enables me to keep her occupied when i need some time to do some work, while she learns and play by learning to play.
Definitely a safe and easy product for her to enjoy!

閱讀紙本書，在電子媒介為資訊傳播主流的這個時代，反而成了一種癖好。除了是長久以來的習慣，翻閱書本的動作本身，有種實在感。由手指與手腕甚至手臂完成的翻頁，推敲，思考，比用指尖按滑鼠或觸控式螢幕所閱讀的內容似乎來的流暢與深刻。甚至書頁上的茶漬，筆痕，都是多年後回味的記憶點。

接下來會藉由臉書與大家分享我喜歡的幾本書， 算是另類的讀書會吧。

而這次我想分享的是各位也會感到興趣的一本翻譯書“小寶貝: 精彩的0-2歲影響一生”。作者是動物學家 Desmond Morris 。它比較像是給新手爸媽小百科全書。書中以動物學角度去詮釋寶寶的各種行為，如哭泣，微笑，其中一段討論讓我印象深刻，靈長類動物裡，人類的小寶寶是唯一使用微笑換取照顧的動物，微笑讓其照顧者對他產生愛護感。出生幾個禮拜的小嬰兒便能夠微笑，即便在視力仍然不佳時。小朋友的微笑讓他們不費吹灰之力就讓大人們自然而然愛上他們。

＃微笑的魔力

Print books have become a non-mainstream medium of information publication in this day and age. However, I still prefer reading books as my main source of knowledge and studies. Apart from it being my habit, I find the engagement of finger and hands, even elbow to turn pages, seems to intensify the process of thinking and contemplation during reading. Sometimes tiny stains or pencil marks on books even become points of memory when revisiting years later.

I would like to share with you a book that I have read recently. Maybe you will like it too. “Amazing Baby: the amazing story of the first two years of life” by Desmond Morris. He is a zoologist who has an interest in human behaviours. Although it is more like a mini-encyclopaedia for first-time parents, I like their anthropological and zoological perspective on common behaviours of babies such as crying and smiling. Babies are the only animals that use smiles to establish bonds with their carers. A newborn of a few weeks old can already smile, even when they yet to develop good vision. Babies' smiles make parents fall in love instantly.

White Forest is dedicated to animals including whales, dolphins, coral reefs, sea turtles, as well as cats in the city and birds in the mountains. Along with "Ocean" is the series of Cicada's work themed with marine and land.

“Dolphins Leap” proceeds with different speeds to imitate spinner dolphins and risso's dolphins. “Used to be Home” portrayed the impact of offshore wind energy caused on white dolphin's habitat from their point of views. “Whale Family” is about humpback whales caring and raising babies. “White Forest” starts from the dreamy coral reef spawning into their bleaching due to seawater warming. Cicada's attempts are to describe the relationship between human and its impact on ocean and animals.

《不在的你們都去了哪裡》是一張關於動物的專輯，有珊瑚、海龜、大翅鯨、臺灣西海岸的白海豚，以及東海岸的飛旋和花紋海豚，也有居住在城市的貓，與山中的鳥群。Cicada企圖透過弦樂、鋼琴與木吉他的純器樂演奏，勾勒出人類與海洋的關係，以及動物們的處境。這張專輯與2013年的《邊境消逝》、2015年的《仰望海平面》可說是以海與土地為主題的系列之作。
